Signs of Pregnancy before Missed Period

Signs of Pregnancy before Missed Period

There are some possible reasons why a woman may experience signs of pregnancy before missed period. One of the main reasons for this is because of the hormonal changes in the body before the monthly period is due. Most women are unaware that pregnancy signs can show just a week after conception. However, pregnancy tests may give a negative result during this time because the human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) hormone may not be able to be detected yet in the urine yet. In most pregnancies, this hormone can be detected in the blood within 8-10 days into pregnancy and in the urine 1-2 weeks into the pregnancy.

Among the signs of pregnancy before missed period is raised body temperature with no apparent sickness or illness. If this symptom goes on for about 18 days without any accompaniment of illness, chances are that you are pregnant. Another sign would be morning sickness which includes nausea and vomiting. Although vomiting does not necessarily come as a result of the nausea, it is a possible outcome. In this case, it would be important to keep hydrated with fluids. Other earliest possible signs of pregnancy before missed period include fatigue, lower abdominal cramps, frequent urination, breast tenderness, bloating of the abdomen and light spotting.

Fatigue is caused by the drastic changes of hormonal balance in the body. This will cause a woman to feel tired easily without having done much work. Lower abdominal cramps happen sometimes as a result of implantation bleeding, which is also known as light spotting. Spotting causes pinkish or reddish brown staining. Frequent urination happens when a woman conceives because the uterus increases in size with the conception and starts to put more pressure on the bladder. These are some obvious signs of pregnancy before missed period.

Final Tips on Signs of Pregnancy before Missed Period

For some women, constipation and an increased sense of smell are also signs of pregnancy before missed period. Hormonal changes in the body sometimes affect the intestine in causing them to become more relaxed, which leads to constipation. For some women, a heightened sense of smell is a sign of early pregnancy. This causes an intense sensitivity to odours such as perfume, petrol, cigarette smoke, paint and even the smells of certain foods which could cause them to feel nauseated. This is caused by the increasing level of estrogens in the body.

Signs of pregnancy before missed period are not something uncommon as some women may think. It should be made known to more women so that they would not be confused when it happens and they would be ready for it if it does happen to them. A lot of women who have gone through these symptoms of pregnancy before missing their period think that they are falling ill when actually, they have conceived. In order to avoid this confusion, women should equip themselves with more information on pregnancy.
